A few days ago I was out on my bike and I came across an honour box, you know, a small fruit and veg stand where you pop your money in the box then take what you paid for. We have a lot of them in our neighbourhood. Anyway, I found a mystery vegetable, never one to miss a challenge, I dropped in my ¥100 and took the veg home.
I had NO idea what it was or how to cook it - thanks to the power of facebook I soon found out it is known as choko, along with several other names!
