Hunting for treasure…

Winter is on it's way, there is a definite nip in the air and we have had to turn the heating on. Most days are bright and sunny though so it's not all bad. We decided to pop down to the park to see what treasure we could find. We stopped off at the shrine first…

And of course, we had to test out the swings, climbing frame and dinosaurs…

I was surprised that there were roses still blooming in the rose garden, we collected fallen petals that smell divine!

More golden treasure - kaki (persimmon) hanging to dry, I assume crows don't like kaki!

Then it was down to the serious treasure hunting business, Ebi-kun has always called this part of the park, Totoro's Forest, it is hardly a forest, more of a thicket but I suppose when he was 3 it was like a forest!

We came back with quite a bounty of petals, acorns, pine cones, sticks and leave, what to do with such beauties?

Lots of stick and decorating…

And whittling, a wand in the making, I do believe….

Have you found any treasure recently? What did you do with it?
A new crafty leaf tutorial coming soon..
