I have had to up the settings for leaving comments, I am sorry but no more anonymous comments. This because I have had increase in annoying spam comments recently. This 'new style' spam are written like regular comments but will have link embedded within the comment that links to some website or another. The google bots then see these links and think that their site is more popular and bumps them up in the google ranking.
It's wrong, it's annoying and I'm not going to stand for it on my blog, I do love comments but only real ones from real people.
