If you are having problems settling an argument and wikipedia is broken or you can't send your tweets as usual it is because some of the net big players are doing a 24 hour blackout to raise awareness the SOPA and PIPA acts of legislation that the US Government are pushing for. Don't know what I am talking abou or you don't think this affects you? Think again and watch this...

ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this message! I started activism for this cause back in the fall and it's great to see people finally catching on about how serious this issue really is and spreading the word. (Thank you Google and Wikipedia for taking a stand!)
ReplyDeleteEveryone reading...please don't take our freedoms for granted. Piracy is a problem but censorship is not the answer. There is so much good that has come out of the Internet, like the online craft community.
Call and email your reps and Congress members and if you can't reach one, try another.
I didn't know about all this until yesterday morning and figured many others wouldn't either, I think pulling this stunt was a great way to raise awareness.
