We tried the cloud dough recipe that has been floating around the Internet recently. We used 2 cups of plain flour and 1/4cup scented baby oil, well it was actually gel and we ended up putting in some extra.
The texture is soft and smooth and smelled divine, it was scented with chamomile, so very relaxing. But it isn't as pliable as normal playdoh and it is difficult to manipulate, very crumbly. That said, Ebi-kun sat for a good hour with it, making pies and burying treasure in it! I think it was a mistake telling him we were making dough, giving it another name would have dispelled the idea that it was a type of playdoh.
A good sensory activity but also very messy, I was finding bits all over the place afterwards, playdoh is normally well contained! If you are looking my regular playdoh recipe it is HERE
Try this recipe: 3 c. baking soda mixed with 1/2 cup conditioner- (any kind of cheap hair conditioner works)it's called snow dough- and it is wonderful!! Cool to the touch, moldable, and keeps forever in a sealed airtight container. Enjoy!
