Just a few bits and bobs this week...

A nice story in the mainichi news this week about a book shop owner re-opening his store in a tent.

This story is good news for the farmers in Tohoku, the tsunami  not only wrecked the farmland but it also deposited a lot of salt which means that the rice won't grow there, instead they are planning on cotton which is much hardier and some big name companies have got on board, sounds like a great idea.

New radiation maps have been released this page shows the IAEA levels bottom of Pg 16 to put it all in perspective.
