nom, nom, nom....

After sushi the sun was out and it was lovely and warm so we decided to head up to Enomoto farm, the ice-cream farm. This is one of our favourite spots, in the yard they have loads of bikes and trikes of different shapes and sizes for the kids to play on. They always have a handful of animals in the shed to pet and they make the best ice-cream!
I grew up next to a dairy farm and I would love to go over to the baby calves and let them suck my fingers, this always gets amusing reactions from the locals here. There is usually at least one townie girl in heels and totally unsuitable attire for walking around the farm, she will want a photo with the cute baby animals but doesn't want to touch them and when they see the calf sucking your fingers it totally grosses them out, much to my amusement. This little calf was such a cutie, I think Ebi-kun would have liked to bring him home.

And after 7 years of visiting this place, daddy-ebi finally got in on the fun
There were also some cute piglets this time, one kept trying to eat Ebi-kuns shoe. Of course we had to have ice-cream. At the back of the farm is a cycle path and river, on a clear day you can see Mt Fuji although it was nice there were clouds, so no Fuji-san so us. When we had finished at the farm, Baa-chan and Jii-chan wanted to see Ebi-kuns yochien so we dropped by, the head sensei was working in the grounds so he invited us in, opened the classroom and library so we could have a good look around, he is such a lovely fellow.
