Muffin Tin Dinner(s)

Muffin Tin Monday at Her Cup Overfloweth

I completely forgot to post last weeks, so this is a catch up post. For those who are curious to know what a Muffin Tin Dinner is, it was started by Katy who then handed it over to Michelle when she moved overseas. Basically it is a meal in a muffin tin instead of a plate. I love it because it is a great way to use up any bits and bobs in the fridge and it is an easy way to give a balanced meal. It is also a great way to introduce new foods and if you have one of those kids who don't like their foods to touch it is perfect. I asked Ebi-kun why he likes MTDs and he said he likes the different themes. Win - win situation at dinner time :o)

So here we have an autumn themed MTD.
Starting with the white stuff and going clockwise - cottage cheese, simmered pumpkin, sweet potato, carrots, pasta and orange jelly in the middle.

This was last weeks, kebab them. I often make little kebabs with the cute picks I have got but this time I gave Ebi-kun the picks, The food was also the Sunday dinner leftovers, made for an interesting meal!
Top L-R roasted potatoes, roasted pepper, banana cake
Middle L-R boiled carrots, roasted chicken, gravy to dip-dip
Bottom L-R roasted pumpkin, roasted sweet potato.
It all went, he even asked for seconds.
Now this is last years Halloween tin, I have already had a request for severed fingers and eyeballs, I have been looking through Flickr and One Pretty Thing for more revolting inspiration....
Y-U-M-M-Y

And if you are looking for bento supplies, cute picks, egg mould and the such like, the info is here.
