You will send 2 packages out, you can send the same in each package or if you like, do two different cultures and send out different packages (anyone who is getting their kids involved might want to do this option) as long as you let me know what you decided so I can make sure that the groups are well mixed up.
To explain part one a bit more
"The parts, instructions and history to make a cultural item, it could be some kind of jewellery, a game, something used at a festival, religious item etc."
Here are some random links for the kind of thing I had in mind, so the package should contain print outs or specialised bits if needed to make the item along with an explanation about it - assume that the person you are sending it to had no knowledge of your culture!
You have until the end of August to sign up and until the end of September to get the packages mailed out."The parts, instructions and history to make a cultural item, it could be some kind of jewellery, a game, something used at a festival, religious item etc."
Here are some random links for the kind of thing I had in mind, so the package should contain print outs or specialised bits if needed to make the item along with an explanation about it - assume that the person you are sending it to had no knowledge of your culture!
- Cinco de Mayo - sun and moon myth fan
- Zawadi beads for Kwanzaa
- Jewish Dreidel game
- Chinese fortune cookies (decorative)
- Japanese boy day carp
Any other questions?
I have a back-log of emails to get through, so if I haven't replied to you yet, don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you! With the last couple of weeks with all the comings and goings I am having a tough time getting back into the swing of things. Come Monday the Italians will have gone and I should be able to get back into the old routine. I have several jobs up in the air and it's driving me nuts that I haven't had time to sit and have some 'me' time to finish some off - this includes two zipped puches that I wanted to make for Gaia and Charlie, I have cut the pieces and prepared the ribbon but that is all, aghhh.
We have been doing some painting but I haven't uploaded the photo's yet, maybe tomorrow...
Right, it is nap time and I think I will have one too, we were up at 4.30am with another nose bleed, a biggie too, I'll be glad when he has grown out of these (or is old enough to deal with it without mommy's help) :o)
