Easter is not celebrated here

but that didn't stop us. Saturday I organised an egg hunt for the playgroup kids. We have a playgroup for kids with at least one foreign parent and who use English at home as a bilingual language rather than a second language. It is a great chance for the kids to play together in natural English and good for the parents to exchange notes as it were. Anyway, one of the mom's turned up with rabbit ears for the kids and each kid turned up with 10 decorated eggs. When they went to check out the squirrels in the squirrel enclosure a couple of us went and hid the eggs, we got many a strange look from the locals, I can't imagine what they thought we were doing LOL. Some of the kids remembered from last year, which is the first time we had done it, so they were a bit quicker, next year we will have to hide them a bit better. After we had a picnic, the kids and some of the dads had a good run around, the weather was beautiful and a good time was had by all.

Easter Sunday we did an in-house egg hunt. I used the paper eggs that Babyebi painted the other day and drew clues on the back so it was more of a treasure hunt, I had to make the chocolate egg (using molds that I bought tofu in one time) it was fun. As it was a lovely day again I packed a picnic and headed to the park, although it was short notice a friend and her two kids joined us, the kids had a good play, wore themselves out good and proper!
