Being new to this blog thing, I think this meme thing is like a chain letter - but different.... to explain
I have to start, she says, by posting the rules, so here they are:
1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.
Erm, right, 8 interesting facts that people generally don't know about me....
1. I can't remember learning how to ride, my gran saved a pony from the dog meat factory when I ws 18mths old so I don't actually remember starting to ride. His name was Toffee Crisp and he was the naughtest welsh mountain ever. I went on to become the British Junior Western Riding champion for 3 years.
2. I hate daddy long legs, they seriously give me the willies.
3. I have a paper plate signed by Green Day, my mate toured with them but I couldn't go because of work so she got them to sign a paper plate then sent it through the post.
4. I used to play the cello! VERY badly, I might add, haven't got a musical bone in my body, I wanted to learn to play the flute but they wouldn't let me at school - they said my teeth were not straight enough.
5. I sang for the Staffordshire your choir for 2 years when I was in elementary school.
6. What else? I was in the scouts from when I was 7, well started as Brownies went through to Venture Scouts. Got my Venture Scout Award but didn't complete my queen scout becuase I broke my leg and didn't have chance to complete the 100 mile ride. I did camp at the top of Blackpool Tower for some fundraising thing and got to meet Fred The Weatherman.
7. One of my life ambitions is to do the Silk Route, I'd love to go to Mongolia and gallop for miles and sleep in a yurt.
8. My favourite book as a kid was Brandon Chase, it was about 3 brothers who run away from home one summer and lived in a tree in the woods.
That's ya lot, I have to find 8 more people to tag now....
You mean you actually WERE one of those pony-mad girls I used to dream of being??! Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to do the Silk Route too. I went through Mongolia on the Trans-Siberian and was totally wowed by the landscape. Maybe in ten years, when the boys are old enough...
Yeah, but I never went to boarding school and played lacross - that's what I wanted to do!
ReplyDeleteDone!
ReplyDeleteGreat to find you again (or well, that you found me). How exciting about the house!
Ah, and yes, the Silk Road.... I need to be satisfied for now with the fact that I've done the very very Eastern part in China, but I want more!
I used to love Brendon Chase as well...
